Appointment information:

To schedule an appointment please call (515) 327-1555. Our office hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Monday through Friday. We can schedule an appointment at one of our three locations with direction available on our contact page.

For your first appointment please arrive 15 minutes early to complete the registration process. You will need to bring the following items to your appointment

 If you are not English speaking, please arrange for a translator to accompany you at your appointment.

We realize the value of your time. Unfortunately, some delays may occur because of emergencies, unforeseen complex patient problems requiring extended evaluations, etc. We hope that you will understand that these delays are unavoidable. You may call us prior to your appointment to see if the physician is on schedule. If there is a delay, you may reschedule your appointment for a more convenient time.

If you are unable to attend your appointment please notify our office as soon as possible.

Medical Insurance:

Metro Orthopaedic Surgery, P.C., Will file your charges to your insurance company for you. Some of the plans we participate with are Wellmark BCBS, United Healthcare, John Deere Health Care, Coventry, Healthcare Preferred, PHCS, Medicare, and Medicaid.

All applicable co-pays, deductibles, and non-covered services are due at the time of your visit. We suggest you call your insurance company to determine your coverage prior to your arrival. If your plan requires a referral, please check with your primary care physician to make sure the referral process has been completed.

Workers' Compensation:

All appointments for work related injuries must be pre-authorized before scheduling an appointment. You may contact your employer's insurance carrier for help.

Patient's with no insurance will need to speak to our insurance/billing department prior to the appointment.

We prefer not to file claims for third party liability. Under normal circumstances we will bill your private health insurance. You may contact your insurance/billing department with any suggestions.
